In effect, you are thanking your opponent for giving you the opportunity to improve your technique."In the spirit of this quote, we at Boise Valley would like to "rei" to those that we competed with Saturday at the Twin Falls Shiai. The Senseis, parents and players of the Boise Valley Judo club would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of you who came and offered help and/or participated at our tournament! We felt the tournament was a success and it could not have happened without the gracious Judo community! We hope you enjoyed your day with us and can't wait to see you at upcoming tournaments!Thank you!!!

Got shin-gi-tai? Well, we did/do!!
There is an article that writes about needing shin-gi-tai (spirit, skill and power) in order to win in judo. This past weekend our Judoka began to see the importance of having the three work together in a match and that hard work pays off in competition. It was apparent to all that played in McCall's Tournament this past weekend, not only learned something valuable from each and every fight but began to show pride in themselves and our club, as well as leaving with their heads held high!
We want to thank the coaches that made sure that after each match, everyone participating had a chance for one on one instruction. It was evident that this teaching led to better understanding and performance from all of our Judoka!! Thank you for making this a priority! Our club might not have been felt by the numbers of competitors but we did make our presence known through our shin-gi-tai in matches! Congratulations Boise Valley Judo Club! We are all very proud of all you accomplished and learned this weekend!
